Learning trail help

What is a learning trail?

Learning trails are focussed journeys through the content and experiences of SoundJunction. They provide a way of concentrating on particular subjects and ideas without being distracted by other ones.

So in Learning trail mode, the links are restricted to next and previous steps on the Learning trail – other links are removed.

You can use Learning trails to explore all the different types of content on SoundJunction, or to find out, for example, about particular musicians or instruments.

Use the Learning trail forum to access all the Learning trails. Or you can find certain Featured learning trails elsewhere in SoundJunction, on 'All about...' pages.

Starting a trail

Click 'Start trail' or 'Start learning trail' to switch to Learning trail mode for a particular trail. Then use the links in the Learning trail navigation panel to go to next or previous steps in the trail.

Leaving a trail

Once you've finished the trail, or you want to leave Learning trail mode, click 'Log off the trail' in the Learning trail navigation panel. This takes you back to the SoundJunction homepage.

Creating your own Learning trails

If you have Advanced User status, you can create your own Learning trails. Find out about Advanced User status or how to create a Learning trail.
