Dennis Rollins used different elements of the SoundJunction works to create bold contrasts in his remix – find out more

Dennis had to decide what he wanted his remix to ‘feel’ like as well as what it might sound like.

You can hear the tension of the brass that Dennis is talking about in David Horne’s Emerging Dances.

You can also hear the beauty and serenity of the kora in Tunde Jegede’s Moving Away.

The idea was to use these and other elements to create really strong contrasts, as you would see bold differences in colour and shade in a painting.
